laubabwerfender hoher, oftmals mehrtriebiger Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis zu 6 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, langgestielten, bis zu 20 cm langen, elliptischen, am Rand leicht gezähnten, sattgrünen Blättern. Die intensiv, süßlich duftenden, stieltellerförmigen, weißen Blüten mit weit herausragenden Staubfäden erscheinen in lockeren Rispen am Ende der Triebe, gefolgt von rot-blauen Beerenfrüchten

Alternative: in fall/winter sowing in unheated greenhouse
Germination Temperature: ca. 22-25°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: until germination takes place
Irrigation: in the growing season regularly water
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: in the 1st + 2nd year bright or dark at approx. 0-5ºC in unheated greennhouse + keep slightly moist
Overwintering: After this time period older specimens can be planted outdoors. Container plants bright or dark at approx.0-5ºC and just so much water that the root ball not dries out completely.
Note: In unfavorable regions, winter protection is recommended in the first years. Pruning back in late winter
