Dreiblättrige Akebia, Blaugurkenwein,Three Leaf Akebia

laubabwerfender, verholzender Schlinger bis zu 10 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, langgestielten Blättern, bestehend aus 3-gelappten, eiförmigen, tiefgrünen Blättchen. Die duftenden purpurfarbenen Blüten erscheinen in langgestielten Rispen in den Blattachseln, gefolgt von eßbaren, pflaumenförmigen, bei Reife violett-blauen Früchten mit leicht süßlichem Geschmack.
Früchte können nur gebildet werden, wenn zwei verschiedene Arten oder Sorten nebeneinander gepflanzt werden!
